Game of Thrones fans will have the chance to catch one of the show’s biggest stars when she takes to the TEDx stage in Manchester, thanks to a special bursary programme, powered by Bruntwood.

The leading property company has joined forces with TEDxManchester to offer 15 complementary pairs of passes to the event on 3 February, when actress Maisie Williams will join speakers such as Unilad’s Alex Partridge and behavioural expert – and TEDx veteran – Rory Sutherland.

This is the first time TEDxManchester has launched a bursary programme, in association with headline sponsor Bruntwood. It gives professionals and students within the digital and creative industries the chance to get a seat in the main hall at the prestigious event. Main hall tickets for the event are now sold out.

Held at the Bridgewater Hall, TEDxManchester: Unconventional Wisdom will feature a line-up of speakers from across a wide variety of sectors and disciplines, sharing their knowledge and insight with more than 2,300 ‘TEDsters’.

TEDxManchester 2019 will mark a decade of TEDxManchester events. Herb Kim, founder of TEDxManchester said: “TEDx events are all about uniting communities across various sectors. While TEDx events host speakers from around the world, each city brings its own unique insights, experiences and speakers.

“We’re thrilled to be able offer passes through the Bruntwood Bursary Programme, as we know this was a particularly popular event with a stellar line-up.”

Leading the roll call of speakers is actress Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark in global phenomenon Game of Thrones, having recently turned her hand to the world of tech and setting up the social media app, Daisie.

Best-selling productivity author Chris Bailey; chemist Andrew Szydlo; and astronomy photographer Jon Carmichael, among others, are also scheduled to speak.

Ciara Keeling, CEO of Bruntwood Works, said: “We’re extremely proud to back engaging events such as TEDxManchester. Manchester is such a vibrant city, filled with creativity and innovation, so teaming up with the organisers to offer a bursary programme and give more people the chance to experience what’s set to be an incredible event was a very natural fit to us.”

To apply for a free pair of passes to TEDxManchester, you must be 16 years old or over. For more information, visit: https://www.tedxmanchester.com/tedxmanchester-bursary/
