Bruntwood has revealed a host of new features for potential customers at its latest flagship workspace — Neo. The 12-storey, landmark building on Portland Street in central Manchester has been designed to encourage growth and development for creatively-minded businesses of all sizes to occupy single desks to entire floors.

With collaborative workspaces, coworking and Bruntwood’s support of the arts and culture at its core, Neo is the result of an extensive process to understand the needs of customers and how modern businesses work today. Based on these findings, Neo is built around creating a collaborative community, providing a stimulating work environment and making the letting process as simple as possible with transparent, fixed costs.

The building will also feature Manchester’s first dedicated digital art space on the ground floor showcasing work from local and international artists, as well as coworking spaces, 24 individual studios for two to ten people, full floor workspaces, screening rooms, meeting rooms, communal lounges / kitchens and an external roof terrace for events with outdoor heaters and two ‘all weather’ meeting pods.

Bruntwood CEO Chris Oglesby comments, “We’re launching Neo in a couple of months and it will signal a new phase in the evolution of our workspace offering, with such a broad range of workspaces, harnessing collaboration and social interaction.

“Neo is the result of a major investment and the product of intense scrutiny of our customers’ needs and their journey to source and acquire innovative workspace that adds real value for both their business and their people.

“We understand how important it is to create workspaces that people enjoy using, both for employee engagement and for attracting the best talent. That’s why we’ve paid so much attention to getting the environment at Neo right. The digital art space, communal lounges, kitchens and large open-air roof terrace will provide the perfect platform for networking, and a Community Engagement Manager will support the Neo community through a year-round programme of business support, wellbeing and social events.

“We’re implementing technology at Neo to make the workspaces incredibly intuitive and user-friendly, from pre-installed high-speed complimentary Wi-Fi to keyless door entry via Bluetooth technology and community screens in the communal areas to keep customers up to date with the latest news and events.

“As a business, we understand how important the health and wellbeing of your staff is and we want to promote this within our buildings. At Neo, each customer has access to a wealth of benefits, including a free Fitbit to help them monitor their fitness, discounted gym membership at the on-site gym, and secure bicycle parking to name but a few. We’ve also installed changing rooms and showers on each floor to make cycling to work or getting active at lunchtime that much easier.”

“When it comes to customer peace of mind, we’ve listened and introduced free space planning services, fixed and transparent service charges, as well as all-inclusive packages for furniture, internet, telephony and cleaning to help customers get up and running quickly with no hidden surprises.”

Neo is due to complete in January 2017.
