2020 has undoubtedly been an unprecedented year. It started with a new Prime Minister; a Brexit deal; and a budget focussed around levelling-up, together with a commitment to increase spending on R&D to 2.4% of GDP by 2027. But that rapidly shifted.

Covid-19 has changed the way we live and work forever, to what extent no one really knows, but what we have seen is innovation come to the fore, the importance of partnership, and the need to adapt at speed.
