Summize's core mission has always been: how can we just make contracts easier to deal with, easier to understand, and just generally more efficient? Every year the business is doubling, headcount is pretty much doubling. We soon found that we didn't have enough seats. We had international offices, so we had offices in Boston and then now we've got an office in San Diego as well. So we needed probably more collaborative spaces. We needed areas where you could probably facilitate more group calls because you were dealing with international employees as well as the people we had on the ground.

We knew that this was being renovated and there was facilities here that we would have had the benefit of in the other building, and that's when we came to view this one and were able to transition to it. For us, when we saw this space with Bruntwood SciTech, it felt like this is a place that represents our brand. This was a brand new fit out, so the bones of kind of what we were working with were really strong. We knew that we had flexibility around how we could create these kind of different meeting rooms and different spaces, which has been massively important 'cuz that's not something that necessarily you get in a lot of office space. And I think we've always wanted to make sure that we had an office that reflected our culture and how we want to scale. So this has really facilitated better collaboration and communication; people generally just like being here.

So we're part of Thread Works and for me, like, what I love is in the morning when you walk through the doors you're always greeted with like a friendly face. There's great facilities in the building, there's a gym here, you know, there's great kind of co-working spaces. We do feel part of a community now in this space. Thread Works allows these companies to come together and genuinely collaborate, understand the journey, and I think it's going to be a catalyst for a lot more businesses to come through and really define that blueprint for, you know, more successful businesses going forward.

Each year we're a very different business than we were 12 months ago from a people point of view, from where we're operating, from what we need. Really the key themes for me has been flexibility and partnership that we've experienced with SciTech.
